Private Cinema Screening @ Backlot Studios
13th July 2014 - Melbourne, Australia Thanks to everyone who attended our private cinema screening event in Melbourne. After a few drinks and a quick look at the work we get up to in Cambodia, we sat down to the light-hearted and at times, downright inappropriate comedy, 'A million ways to die in the west'. Special thanks to our ethical fashion brand sponsors: Melbourne-based jewellery designer Elizabeth Allardyce and global jean label, akkadenim. The money raised by this event will fund next year's Ang Doung village education project, giving back to the community that our children once called home. This will be at least a three year project and will see us double attendance at local schools. |

Art Auction Fundraising Event

The silent art auction was a great success, thanks again to all who donated art and supported us in the lead up to and on the day.
We had a lot of fun and raised a significant amount of funds. The day started with 30 pieces of art, 135 glasses of wine, 8 volunteers, 2 business sponsors and a huge amount of hope. Most of the pieces sold above reserve and with two very successful raffles, we hit our target fundraising amount.
Thanks again to all the very generous artists in NZ and Australia. Special thanks also to the Billfish Cafe and Velvet Skin & Body for your amazing raffle prizes!

Private Cinema Screening @ Capitol Cinema
27th February 2011 - Auckland, NZ Despite New Zealand's obvious charitable commitments to helping those in need in Christchurch during the time of our event, attendance was outstanding. Following a wine and cheese in the Capitol Cinema's beautiful foyer, we sat down to a private screening of "Get Low". Money raised will provide salaries for our on-the-ground local Cambodian employees who can now afford to travel out to the orphanage on a daily basis. They will be focused on ensuring better controls within the orphanage, making the Director's more accountable for the children's education and healthcare. |
